Welcome, welcome!

Welcome to the first blog post of Stripey Mouse.  I'm so glad you stopped by, although I appear to have developed a mild phobia of empty pages, which can be a barrier when blogging.  I've spent the past week inventing interesting things to say about photos, editing, re-editing and over-tweaking descriptions until my head spun; it feels as if I've momentarily run out of words {shuffles in seat}.

This blog is about dreams, inspiration and periodic bursts of creativity.  Every time I turn my computer on, wonderous voyages of discovery await me; seeing, hearing and reading things that otherwise would have gone unnoticed.  A bit brilliant, really.

When I'm not losing myself in the Internet, I spend my days freeing creativity that has become trapped, buried and often forgotten.  You've probably got some hidden somewhere...flick through old sketchbooks, delve into dusty boxes and scan your digital archives.  All those ideas that got lost in time, just waiting to be rediscovered.  I bet you'll find things that will make you smile and wonder why you never shared them.  Set them free: stick a doodle onto a sheet of paper and write a letter to a friend you've not connected with in a while; print 10 of your favourite photos and display them around the house; finish just one the many abandoned sewing/knitting/crochet projects you find stuffed in a bag at the back of your wardrobe and revel in your creative energy.

I can't wait to see what you create... Here's some doodles recently liberated from Helen Harrop's mind.
